Remember last summer when the work on the Lancaster Bulfinch Church steeple was delayed for a few days while millions of honey bees were removed? Well, this Sunday 2152011_15217_0.jpg(February 20th) Shawn Bernard, our fearless beekeeper, returns to tell us more about bees. Shawn will discuss the seasonal and life cycle of the honeybee, and how the Bulfinch bees came to be in the First Unitarian Church’s roof. We will also discuss modern beekeeping practices, honey production, the 3 castes of bees in the hive, honeybee removal, and answer general beekeeping questions. Pictures and videos will be included in the presentation. All questions about beekeeping will be answered during and after the presentation. Please join us!
