GOING GREEN at Blue Heron Pond, translates into green in your pocket.  Speak to one of the real estate consultants and learn your options  $!

THINKING GREEN is a lifestyle choice, ideas to help you conserve and save.

1) Pay your bills online. You’ll eliminate paper envelopes and billing statements and save money on stamps too; not to mention the convenience and time savings.

2) Many household cleaners include toxins that can pollute the environment when they go down the drain. Clean with natural products such as baking soda, vinegar and tea tree oil to disinfect with cleaners easy on the environment and your budget.

3) Laundry can use a significant amount of energy. A drying rack is a good alternative to an electric clothes dryer. When using your clothes dryer, dry only full loads and make sure that your dryer’s lint filter is clean. This makes the dryer more efficient and also reduces the risk of a fire.

4) Many people buy locally produced food for freshness and to support local farmers. Buying local also benefits the environment . Food production takes water and energy but locally grown food saves on the fuel and packaging used during transportation.

5) Keeping your vehicle in shape plays a big role in maximizing fuel economy. You can improve fuel mileage by approximately 3% while making your vehicle safer, simply by keeping your tires inflated to the proper pressure. Under-inflated tires also wear faster which mans more tires to be manufactured increasing the burden on precious natural resources.

Kind Regards,

The Blue Heron Pond staff
